Marinara Sauce

Ingredients
2 clove garlic, minced
2 tbsp extra-virgin olive oil
1 tsp dried oregano
1 15oz can crushed Italian tomatoes
Salt and freshly ground pepper

Instructions:

In a large frying pan over medium heat, saute the garlic in the olive oil until fragrant, about 1 minute. Stir in the red pepper flakes, basil, oregano, and tomatoes and bring to a simmer. Reduce the heat to low and simmer until thickened, about 20 minutes. Season to taste.

Makes about 2 1/2 cups (20 fl oz/625mL)
